Statistics investigation: This term we had to do an investigation, my group was me, kelsey, laura and sophie. Our question was: What subjects do students want more of; what subjects do students want less of; what new subjects students wanted. Obviously we surveyed classrooms at our school. Our group had randomised the selcetion by pressing random numbers into a calculator. When we had selected 6 classrrooms, we went down their class roll and highlited every fourth name, these were the kids that we chose. Our results show that most kids want: less math; more food tech; and chemistry as a new subject. We displayed our information in five different graphs, pie, bar, pictogram and strip. Hopefully we will be able to persuade Mr Sweeny to consider these results.
